JICS has partnered with Food For Thought as our lunch vendor for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Food For Thought culinary team prepares menu items that are made fresh every morning to ensure your child has a healthy and happy culinary experience.

Opening Your Food for Thought Account:
Ordering Lunch in the Food for Thought Portal:
- Go to www.FoodForThoughtCharleston.com
- Create an account: https://www.foodforthoughtcharleston.com/login and follow instructions.
- Once you create an account, you will be asked to add a student. Be sure to select the school name, James Island Christian, and your child’s teacher (when applicable).
Ordering Lunch in the Food for Thought Portal:
- Log into your Food for Thought account. https://www.foodforthoughtcharleston.com/login and follow instructions.
Other Details to Note:
- All hot food items will be stored in a warmer and cold items will be stored in a refrigerator until lunchtime.
- Papa John’s Pizza will continue to be available on Fridays. You can place your pizza order through the Food for Thought portal.
- You'll see Papa John's cheese and pepperoni pizza options on the A La Carte menu every day. Please only order on Fridays. If you order on other days, your order will be canceled.
- Nut-free menus are available. All allergens are on the website.
- Lunches are packaged, labeled, and delivered to your school each morning.
- You can order your child’s lunch in advance. A 48-hour ordering notice is required.
- Orders are due by 12 PM
- Saturday for Monday
- Sunday for Tuesday
- Monday for Wednesday
- Tuesday for Thursday
- Wednesday for Friday
- Reminder, if your child has a field trip or retreat scheduled, Food for Thought does not know this and will allow you to order, in spite of the fact that your child will not be at school. Please be cognizant of this when ordering.
