In case of severe weather, the official announcement for an emergency school closing will be made by Charleston County School Districts. 

If Charleston County School District closes over weather concerns, JICS will also be closed. 

In addition, a phone message will be left on the school's voice mail as soon as a decision is made for closure due to any type of emergency.
