James Island Christian School recognizes the importance of parents and teachers working together in partnership to maximize spiritual and academic growth for each child.
PARENT - TEACHER FELLOWSHIP
The Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) provides a framework for developing and enhancing the relationship between the home and the school. The PTF Board is comprised of interested and involved parents elected by the parents of JICS. Some of the activities that the PTF sponsors are:
Annual JICS Open House
Exam Week Student Support
Coordination of Room Parent Volunteers and activities
School Uniform Exchange
Teacher Wish List Program
This board works in conjunction with the administration of JICS in affecting the welfare of our students. Membership dues are $25 per family and due by the same date as Instructional Fees. Dues received by the PTF go towards resourcing our faculty to help meet their needs and Teacher Appreciation Luncheons. Please contact any of the PTF Board Members if you have any questions.
PTF Meetings, also known as "FAMILY FOCUS NIGHTS" are held to keep parents informed of school activities. A meal is served and the meetings are informative as well as entertaining. Attendance is very important and should be a high priority for all parents with a sincere interest in JICS and the quality of their child's education.
