JICS students conquer fears and compete in South Carolina Independent Schools Regional Spelling Bee!  JICS student earns spot at State Spelling Bee!

Please join us in congratulating the JICS representatives to the South Carolina Independent School Regional Spelling Bee!  It was a day of peculiar words with even more peculiar spellings.  All of our Lions competed with good sportsmanship and grace.

  • McCarthy Lyons took 6th place in the 4th grade (out of 18 contestants)
  • Gracie McNeil took 6th place in the 6th grade  (out of 14 contestants)
  • Christian Nelson took 9th place in the 7th grade (out of 18 contestants)
  • Aurelia Valentine took 8th place in the 7th grade (out of 18 contestants)

And special congratulations to Charlie Batliner, who was a top finalist in the 3rd grade division and is headed to the South Carolina Independent School State Spelling Bee!
