JICS Students Team Up for Thanksgiving Projects

This year James Island Christian School is focusing on developing a grateful heart. One of the best ways to shape a heart that is grateful is to serve others. During JICS "Team Time Chapel", a portion of the day set aside for the whole K4 - 8th grade to come together as one body, students collaborated in their service.

Some JICS students worked together in groups, building edible turkeys that would be delivered to our local fire officials and police officers on James Island to show our gratitude for their service!

Another group of students, began what we hope to be an ongoing relationship with some of the residents of Savannah Place, a retirement home here on the island.  Those students spent a portion of their morning engaging the residents in conversation and coloring pictures with them. Mr. Philpot noted how gracious and kind our students were and how much they themselves were impacted by the residents.

Special thanks to Miss Lawson and Mr. Philpot for organizing our team time chapel projects!
