JICS students dominate art honors at the Pride of the Island's Student Art Show!

On Saturday evening, February the 27th, the Pride of the Island's Student Art Show was held at the James Island Town Hall.  Student work from the elementary, middle and high schools, public and private, on James Island was entered into the competition.  JICS, serving families with students in K-8, entered several student masterpieces into the show in the elementary and middle school division.  JICS students dominated the awards for the event!

Taking first place of all the elementary schools in the show was JICS' own Ethan Welch!

In the middle school competition, JICS took home both first and second place!  Emma Heesen won first place and Cole Bryant gathered up second place!

And a special thanks to our own Art Director, Mrs. Cindy Tighe, for her incredible teaching of the students and lovingly driving them to great lengths of creativity and design!
