JICS Development Department Mission Statement
We believe that development and communication are vital to achieving the Lord's plan for the JICS ministry in the Christian community. All programs will be carefully planned in coordination with the strategic planning process of the school to ensure maximum support for established goals. These programs include fundraising efforts, promotion of JICS to the community, public relations and student recruitment. We will also keep the JICS family informed of implementation plans and ask for their input on a regular basis. We recognize that development and communication will be an ongoing process and any activity that is undertaken must be integrated with other activities and honoring to God.
Daily Steps
The Development Office of James Island Christian School works daily to secure funding and donations to take the school to the next level and maximize educational opportunities for our students. Currently, tuition only covers approximately 85% of the cost of a JICS education. Beyond tuition income that is dedicated primarily to teacher salaries, provision for the general operating budget and further development of the school comes through cash and in-kind donations, fundraising events, and business sponsorships.
All families are encouraged to contribute to the school through tax-deductible gifts to the fund option of their choice, or by volunteering their time and talents. Every contribution is important and valued, no matter what the size.
